ALEC WILSON

Kentwood

• Grade: Sophomore.

• Sport: Basketball.

• Accomplishment: Wilson, a sharpshooting guard, delivered a season-high 15 points, including three 3-pointers, in a 64-43 win over fifth-ranked Auburn Jan. 6.

• Favorite class: Algebra 3-4.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: Michael Jordan. (I’d serve) Panda Express because everyone likes Panda Express.

RUBEN NAVEJAS

Kentwood

• Grade: Sophomore.

• Sport: Wrestling.

• Accomplishment: Navejas, one of the state’s premier 103-pounders, racked up four pins and one decision, winning the title at last weekend’s Panther Classic at Snohomish High. It was Navejas’ second tournament title in two weeks.

• Favorite class: P.E.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: (I would invite teammates) Hayden Peterson, Teddy Zografos, Billy Creighton and Eric Alonzo. (We would have) Taco Bell.

GREG ELEY

Kentlake

• Grade: Senior.

• Sport: Wrestling.

• Accomplishment: Eley, a 160-pounder, pinned three opponents and earned a 13-11 decision to take the championship at last weekend’s Panther Classic at Snohomish High.

• Favorite class: Material Science.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite Mel Gibson to a man’s country-fried steak breakfast/dinner with hearty biscuits, gravy, sausage, eggs, pancakes, back, hash browns and orange juice.

JEFF BUDINICH

Kentlake

• Grade: Senior.

• Sport: Basketball.

• Accomplishment: Budinich has been one of the SPSL North’s top scorers all year. On Jan. 9, he poured in 24 points in a 62-47 loss to Kentwood.

• Favorite class: Business Math.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: (Actress) Kim Kardashian and I would have steak and she would have a Caesar salad.

BRIANA SHANNON

Kent-Meridian

• Grade: Junior.

• Sport: Basketball.

• Accomplishment: Shannon, one of the SPSL North’s rising young stars, scored a game-high 21 points in a 45-42 win over Kentridge last Friday. It was Shannon’s second straight 21-point performance.

• Favorite class: Marketing.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: President-elect Barack Obama. I would serve him fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy with pink lemonade.

DYLAN ZYLSTRA

Basketball

• Grade: Junior.

• Sport: Basketball.

• Accomplishment: Zylstra poured in a season-high 28 points last Friday night, leading the Chargers past Kent-Meridian, 73-59.

• Favorite class: Business Law.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: Barack Obama and I would serve something Italian because I heard that’s what he likes.
