Kent kids make the grade

The following students, all of whom identified Kent as their place of residence, made the Seattle Pacific University 2009 Winter Quarter Dean’s List. Students on the Dean’s List have completed at least 12 credits and attained a 3.50 or higher grade point average:

Kent grad will lead CWU procession

Nicole M. Allen of Kent was one of six members of the 2009 Silver Cortege at Central Washington University’s Westside commencement ceremony June 14 in Seattle.

The Silver Cortege, which leads the procession of graduates into commencement, consists of a select group of junior students who have achieved academic excellence at CWU. Each student is chosen based on grade point average and credits completed.

Allen is an elementary education major at CWU-Des Moines.

Four from Kent make Gonzaga’s dean list

The following students were named among 683 to the Gonzaga University dean’s list for spring semester 2009. Students must earn a 3.5 to 3.69 grade-point average to be listed:

Brianna M. Armstrong, Laura M. Cochran, Maria R Di Re, and Elise L. Perkins.

Kent resident earns master’s

Stacie Marie Gath, a resident of Kent, was awarded a Masters of Arts in Adventure Education on June 6 from Prescott College in Arizona.
