A 74-year-old Seattle man was killed when his car collided with a semi-truck at about 7 a.m. Wednesday in Kent along Orillia Road near South 212th Place.

Narendra Shah died from multiple blunt force injuries, according to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office on Thursday.

“Initial information indicates that the driver of the car, who was traveling east on Orillia Road, slid into the oncoming lanes of travel and was struck by a semi-truck,” according to a Kent Police Facebook post.

Shah was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the lone occupant of the car. The driver of the semi, a 59-year-old man, cooperated with officers and exhibited no signs of impairment, according to police.

Police closed Orillia Road in both directions from South 200th Street to 42nd Avenue South to investigate.
