City of Kent to offer 3 free summer movies at Kherson Park | Update

The city of Kent Parks Free Summer Movie Series returns with two movies in August and one in September on Friday nights at Kherson Park, 307 W. Gowe St.

“Grab some blankets, pack up your friends and family, and join us at Kherson Park for a movie night under the stars,” according to a Kent Parks social media post. “This year, we’re bringing in some classic throwback flicks!”

Movies start at dusk, approximately 8 p.m.

The lineup:

• Friday, Aug. 8

“The Goonies” (1985)

• Friday, Aug. 22

“Ghostbusters” (1984)

• Friday, Sept. 5

“Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark” (1981)
