Kent-based Rainier Youth Choirs seeks members for openings

Kent-based Rainier Youth Choirs has openings for singers in the second to 12th grades to join in the fun this September.

This season’s theme is about following your dreams, creating positive change and having high hopes for the future, according to a Rainier Youth Choirs press release. The organization meets on Monday evenings at Cedar Heights Middle School, 19640 SE 272nd St., in Covington and is accessible by public transportation.

Featuring four choir levels, all perform in three mainstage concerts in the Kent area as well as several local community events.

The concerts include:

• Sunday, Dec. 14: “Beyond Ourselves”

• Sunday, March 15, 2026: “Beyond Borders”

• Sunday, May 17. 2026: “Beyond Imagination”

Ticket prices range from $5 to $20.

Rainier Youth Choirs’ older ensembles, Colla Voce and Consonare, will participate in a Worldstrides Music Festival in Anaheim which includes special behind the scenes activities in Disneyland, April 9-12, 2026. The younger ensembles, Primo Voce and Bella Voce will sing in the Music in the Parks Festival in the Federal Way area with afternoon fun and awards ceremony at Wild Waves on June 7, 2026.

Rehearsals begin Monday, Sept. 15.

Rainier Youth Choirs is a tuition based, non-sectarian, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization registered in the state of Washington. Tuition assistance is available for every choir level.
