Kent animal shelter looking for owner of cat rescued in fire

Regional Animal Services of King County is still trying to find the owner of the cat rescued Nov. 19 from a Kent apartment fire.
“We have been unsuccessful in locating this cat’s owner,” said Chloe “Cheeks” Hansford, animal shelter administrator, in a Nov. 24 email. “We would hate to adopt out this cat if the owner may be looking for him.”
The cat’s animal ID is A739824. The shelter is at 21615 64th Ave. S., in Kent. For more information, call the shelter at 206-296-7387
Puget Sound Fire firefighters rescued the cat from a Nov. 19 morning fire at an apartment at the Berkley Heights Apartments in the 22700 block of 91st Way.
The resident of the apartment made it out safely and firefighters were able to locate the resident’s cat, brought it out safely and the cat is doing well, according to Puget Sound Fire. There were no injuries.
