Attorney Mark Albertson recently joined Hanis Irvine Prothero, LLC, 6703 S. 234th St., Suite 300, Kent.

Albertson, after 20 years at his previous firm, which he owned until 2009, was offered the opportunity to join what he considers the premier law firm in South King County.

“I was offered a partnership at Hanis, and the opportunity to build and grow their estate planning services,” Albertson said in an email. “It was a challenge I couldn’t refuse, and because Hanis is a full-service law firm with great administrative support, I feel that I will be able to enhance the quality of my service to my clients.

“I will be continuing my practice focusing on elder law and estate planning, including VA longterm care benefits planning and special needs planning,” Albertson added. “I’ve been in practice for 25 years, and am licensed not just in Washington, but also Oregon and Alaska, and I work with clients throughout the Northwest.”

Albertson is a member of the Washington State, Oregon State Bar; Alaska State, American Bar, and King County bar associations.

He is an accredited Veterans Administration attorney, and is admitted to practice in Washington, Oregon and Alaska Courts, U.S. Federal District Court and the Federal Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit.

Albertson received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1982, and his Juris Doctorate Degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 1987. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy and the Texas Air National Guard.

Albertson become a partner in Rehberg & Albertson, P.S. in 1993.
