Find It in Kent is a new shop-local program designed to support local Kent merchants.

The “Find It in Kent” campaign wrapped up its community-wide scavenger hunt with a March 23 celebration for its winners and other participants at Mama Stortini’s at Kent Station.

“Find It in Kent” is a shop-local campaign. The Kent Chamber, Kent Downtown Partnership, Kent Reporter, Kent Station, and Boeing Employees Credit Union have been working together to encourage locals to shop local.

The eight-week scavenger hunt was organized to encourage locals to “Find It In Kent.” Eight businesses participated by donating prizes for the winners: Castle Bridge Winery, Murray’s Collision Center, The Balanced Athlete, Green River Community College, Paolo’s Italian Restaurant, Bella Home and Garden, Maggie’s on Meeker and the Seattle Thunderbirds.

Contestants who completed the scavenger hunt by finding the eight golden tickets from the above businesses were entered into a drawing. The drawing took place during the March 23 celebration at Mama Stortini’s.

Anyone interested in working Kent’s shop-local campaign should send inquiries to the chamber at info@kentchamber.com or Kent Downtown Partnership, barbaras@kentdowntown.org or Kent Station,sueda@kentstation.com.
