Roger Brooks, a leading specialist about community branding, development, marketing, and tourism, will lead two workshops from 8 a.m. to noon March 10 at the Kent Station AMC Theaters

Brooks, the founder of Seattle-based Development Destination International, has assisted nearly 1,000 communities in North American with their efforts to become outstanding destinations for local residents and out-of-town visitors. He will discuss how to help Kent grow its business for locals and visitors.

The topic of the 8-10 a.m. workshop is The 20 Ingredients for a Successful Downtown. The 10 a.m. to noon workshop is The Art of Branding.

The workshops are sponsored by the Kent Downtown Partnership.

There is no charge for Kent Downtown Partnership members. The cost is $5 for Kent Chamber members and $10 for non-members.
