Mattress Firm’s Clothing Drive for Foster Kids seeks donations

May is National Foster Care Month and Mattress Firm is making it easy for the community to give back.

The mattress retailer is hosting its Clothing Drive for Foster Kids, collecting new clothing items at every store.

Now through June 18, Mattress Firm is collecting clothing donations of all sizes – infant to teen. The most requested items are jeans, T-shirts, sweatshirts, sweaters and packaged socks and undergarments.

For local foster children, a new shirt, pair of jeans, or a sweater is more than just an article of clothing. They allow kids to feel a sense of normalcy among peers, be confident at school or while participating in activities and so much more.

Cash donations can also be made at mattressfirmfosterkids.org.

Donations are distributed to local foster children through Mattress Firm’s partner nonprofit foster organization in Washington.
