Red Lion celebrates opening of Kent hotel

The new Red Lion Inn & Suites in Kent, 25100 74th Ave. S., just east of Highway 167, features 60 renovated rooms.

Paul Sandhu, director of operations, and his staff joined the Kent Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, March 7 for a grand opening celebration that included a ribbon cutting by Mayor Suzette Cooke.

The new owners spent about $600,000 in renovations to the rooms, public spaces and exterior of the hotel over the last four months. Red Lion took over the former Quality Inn and Suites.

The hotel offers free hot breakfast, free wireless, an indoor pool, an exercise room and meeting space that can accommodate approximately 40 people.
