For the Reporter

Richard Sherman and Rob Gronkowski are well known for their work on the field: NFL All-Pro performers and world champions who are widely regarded as two of the most competitive football players in the league.

Off the field, they are modern art connoisseurs, antique vase collectors and Rubik’s Cube aficionados … at least according to Oberto Beef Jerky’s new digital video series.

Kent-based Oberto, a national leader in the all natural jerky brand, took Sherman of the Seahawks and Gronkowski of the Patriots off the gridiron and put them alone in a room together, where hilarity ensues. As a result, starting today, Oberto will launch a new digital short series featuring the two athletes called “Gronk & Sherm Talk about Stuff While Eating Jerky”.

“With Gronkowski and Sherman teaming up, we have two of the best football players in the game today as part of the Oberto family,” said David Lakey, senior vice president of marketing at Oberto Brands. “And as you will see with the launch of our first-ever digital series, it’s safe to say we have two of the funniest guys in all of sports as well. We are excited about this series because it’s fun, engaging content that fans will want to watch and share.”

“Gronk & Sherm Talk about Stuff While Eating Jerky” is Oberto’s first-ever digital series venture and an extension of their active lifestyle marketing approach and intensified athlete endorser program. Earlier this year, Gronkowski joined Sherman as one of the faces of Oberto’s overall campaign, which focuses on connecting the brand with active lifestyle and the benefits of its high protein products.

In addition to their starring role in Oberto’s new digital series, Gronkowski and Sherman will continue to appear in national television spots and play a fundamental role in helping magnify Oberto’s brand mantra, “You Get Out What You Put In,” highlighting the importance of living an active, healthy lifestyle.

Positivity, Oberto’s creative agency, developed the ‘Gronk & Sherm’ video series concept.
