The U.S. Chamber of Commerce this month honored Sterlitech Corporation with its Faces of Trade award in recognition of the Kent-based company’s impact on its community by increasing jobs through trade.

Faces of Trade awards are presented to small and medium size companies that have demonstrated outstanding international success through exports. Whether they have just entered the international market or have maintained considerable presence over time, the awardees epitomize how good trade policy can lead to the success of small companies. Faces of Trade companies have fewer than 500 employees, are American-owned and operated, and are driving the success of their business by expanding to new markets abroad.

Sterlitech Corporation is a leading manufacturer of silver membrane products. The filtration products Sterlitech manufactures and markets can be used in reverse osmosis, nanofiltration, ultrafiltration or microfiltration and are used in a variety of industries, including occupational health and safety, petrochemical, fossil fuels and biotech. The company employs 10 people in Kent, and credits 30 percent of their sales to international trade.
