Bush left Obama big mess to clean up

Responding to Roger Hancock’s letter regarding the Democratic Party (“Democrats wield oppressive agenda,” Jan. 16, Kent Reporter.)

After eight years of mistakes, lies, secrecy and just plain selfish bad judgement by the Bush administration, one could hardly expect Obama to fix this mess in the short time he has been in office.

We will never know the truth about what the Bush administration did or didn’t do to create such havoc and tragedy to the American people, but we do know it happened. Drastic times require drastic measures.

Where was your criticism when all these obvious events were dragging down this country?

If solutions were that easy, Bush would have had America out of the war, New Orleans would be rebuilt, the banks, auto industry and everyone else we have had to bail out would never have happened.

For Bush to leave office and hand off a plate full of nothing but problems that all require priorities, is downright criminal, and the American people should be ashamed that they did not speak out and stop Bush and his partners in crime.
