Thanks to all who helped with pet event

Muttley Crew 4-H Club wants to thank community members and businesses for helping them collect used towels, fleece blankets and pet toys for King County Animal Care and Control shelters. The Animal Hospital of Maple Valley, Reber Ranch in Kent and Covington Animal Hospital supported this effort with collection boxes. Club members are very grateful to them and everyone who made donations. The club collected 280 towels/blankets and made over 100 cat toys. People even donated other supplies including dog food, cat litter, and an Igloo dog house, which Muttley Crew delivered to the Kent shelter. Club members enjoyed watching shelter cats play with the toys they made.

During the King County Fair, several club members qualified with their own dogs to compete at the state-level, Puyallup Fair this September. Kids 5-19 years old participate in 4-H projects (like dogs, robotics, photography, etc.) each year October thru July. For information about the 4-H youth development program visit http://4h.wsu.edu/ or call 206-205-3152.
