Got a craving for cookies? Then check out Cookie Hooky from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, May 8 at the accesso ShoWare Center, 625 W. James St., in Kent.
There’s a suggested donation of $15 to enter, which will go to a Community Events fund to help support local nonprofits by providing the opportunity for kids and families to enjoy events in the greater Kent area, according to the ShoWare Center website.
“We’re calling on local businesses to play hooky from the office, grab their co-workers, and spend their lunch hour indulging in cookie-themed fun—because who doesn’t need a midday sugar rush,” according to the ShoWare Center.
Taste test delicious cookies from the accesso ShoWare kitchen, dip into milk donated by Smith Brothers Farms, challenge your co-workers to yard games donated by National Event Pros, pose with Cool Bird, the Seattle Thunderbirds junior hockey mascot, and more fun.
The ‘Wich Came First Food Truck will have items available for purchase, and a portion of the sales will be donated to the Community Events Fund.
