Kent Downtown Wine Walk coming up Aug. 16

Grab some friends and go on a wine tasting adventure of local wineries at the next Downtown Wine Walk from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 16, in Kent.

Galleries, merchants and sidewalks will be lively and vibrant welcoming friends and neighbors to join in celebrating and cultivating vitality in charming historic downtown, according to the Kent Downtown Partnership. Meet and mingle with local wineries and cideries; enjoy live music while you sip and discover the secrets of Old Town.

Come early and dine in one of the international restaurants on the downtown “food trail,” including Sushi, Thai, Cajun, Afgan, Mexican and more. Businesses and restaurants are open to the public during this event.

Wine tasting requires a ticket (for 10 tastings) and you must be 21 and older. Tickets are $25 in advance and $35 at the door. You can reduce waste and bring you own glass. Wine glasses will also be available for sale.

The participating wineries are Mercer Wines, Davenport Cellars, Drum Roll Winery, Basel Cellars, Long Winery, 2 Towns Cider House, Schilling Cider, Micheal Florentino and Vino Aquina.

Check in starts at 5:30 pm. at Sweet Themes Bakery, 317 W. Meeker St., Suite A.

For tickets and more information, go to downtownkentwa.com/wine-walk.

Proceeds from this event benefit the Kent Downtown Partnership for future programming.
