The annual Kent International Festival will from from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 31 at the accesso ShoWare Center, 625 W. James St.
The free event celebrates the cultural wealth of the city with music, on-stage performances, local ethnic food trucks and a host of information and merchant booths.
“We believe that, through coming together and celebrating our various heritages with respect and understanding, we build a stronger and wider sense of community that is inclusive of all,” according to the festival’s mission statement.
Organizers describe the festival as ‘the most colorful and diverse event of the year.”
