Kent Spotlight Series cancels Catapult ‘Magic Shadows’ show

Performance had been set for Oct. 13

The Catapult “Magic Shadows,” scheduled for Oct. 13 at Kent-Meridian Performing Arts Center as part of the city of Kent Spotlight Series, has been canceled.

“Unfortunately, several other presenters on the tour withdrew from their engagements, forcing Catapult to cancel all remaining dates, including ours,” according to a Sept. 6 email from Kent Parks Cultural Arts. “If you already purchased tickets to Catapult, we are currently processing full refunds.”

Catapult is a shadow dance company that rose to fame on Season 8 of America’s Got Talent, earning their way to the finals of the NBC-TV hit show. The company’s imaginative and theatrical art form combines dance, storytelling, and sculpture to create family-friendly shows full of humor and emotion.
