For your loved one, the comforts of home, for you, peace of mind

Federal Way retirement community takes care of the little things, so you and your loved ones can get back to enjoying life

As the pandemic eases living life to its fullest potential seems more of a priority than ever before. Unfortunately, being separated from our loved ones or finding that an aging parent needs care, has been made even more difficult by the feelings of isolation and the added stressors we’ve all experienced through this once-in-a-lifetime global event.

At GenCare Federal Way’s senior-living community, “our caring team of experienced nurses and caregivers will create a plan specifically designed for you,” notes Brianna Sam, Executive Director.

The right choice means the right fit

Choosing a new place to call home can be stressful, but making the change can improve many things for the entire family. First, transitioning a loved one to a senior-living community allows you all to enjoy time together again free from the need to be a heroic caregiver or worrying about an isolated parent.

Second, retirement living should be about independence and freedom —freedom to do all the things that bring joy —without the daily chores that take energy using time better spent elsewhere!

At GenCare’s Federal Way campus, residents have plentiful opportunities to embrace the enjoyable things in life such as spending time with family and friends or pursuing a favorite hobby. For adult children, GenCare means more time to focus on bonding with your parent(s), without the distraction or worry of daily care.

Plus, GenCare is close to Federal Way’s bustling restaurants, shops, performing-arts center, and many community and state parks — there’s lots to do. Your loved one an come home, relax and participate in an exercise class or enjoy some live entertainment while socializing with friends at happy hour. Residents set the pace each day and it’s up to them how much or how little they want to do!

Care on every level and where and when you need it

Residents and their families can choose from Active Retirement or Assisted Living, which offers help with bathing, grooming, medication, and personal laundry as well as three wholesome, healthy, chef-prepared meals with options for those with specific dietary needs such as gluten-free, vegetarian or diabetic-friendly options.

For residents with memory loss who need a bit more support, GenCare offers compassionate, comprehensive, and personalized PEAK Memory Care at their Federal Way campus. This engaging program provides appropriate assistance for your loved one’s daily needs, including dressing, bathing, restroom activity, grooming, dental hygiene, dining and vitality. In addition, their PEAK Care Guides are devoted to the belief that every resident deserves quality of life, success and dignity.

Whatever point of life your loved one is at or wherever they are in their wellness journey, GenCare can meet your family where they are now to provide the best for the future.
