Valley Cities Behavioral Health Care is inviting the community to come together for an afternoon of connection, celebration and support at its National Night Out event in Auburn on Tuesday, Aug. 5.
Happening from 3 to 6 p.m. at 915 26th St NE, Auburn the event is a joint effort by Valley Cities’ Auburn, Kent and Federal Way clinics, bringing people of all ages together to enjoy light refreshments, lawn games, music – and plenty of meaningful resources.
“We want families to feel supported – whether that’s getting ready for back to school, finding a resource they didn’t know about, or just having fun together,” says Payton Standfill, Marketing Specialist at Valley Cities.
Along with free school supplies and backpacks for kids heading back to class, the event features family-friendly activities, music and light refreshments (while supplies last). Local organizations – including King County partners and other service providers – will be there to connect attendees with everything from mental health and housing services to youth programs and primary care.

“There’s a lot of pressure on families this time of year, especially when it comes to preparing for school,” Standfill says. “If we can take even a little bit of that weight off their shoulders – and do it in a way that’s welcoming and uplifting – that means everything to us.”
National Night Out is known for bringing neighbours together and building safer, stronger communities. With this event, Valley Cities is adding warmth, support and access to services.
