A 31-year-old Fairbanks, Alaska man suffered injuries when his vehicle left the freeway on northbound Interstate 5 in Kent and came to rest in a ditch.
The accident happened at about 12:25 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 18 near the landfill at mile post 147.6, according to a Washington State Patrol report.
Paramedics transported the man to Valley Medical Center in Renton with undisclosed injuries. He was driving alone in a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation but the alcohol or drugs reported were involved, according to the State Patrol.
