CHI opens 11 COVID-19 screening centers around Washington

Federal Way, Bonney Lake, Puyallup and Enumclaw are some of the places people can go to get tested.

CHI Franciscan announced earlier today that 11 COVID-19 triage centers have opened around Washington.

These triage centers, which includes Franciscan Prompt Care in Bonney Lake, Canyon Road, St. Joseph, Gig Harbor, and Burien, the Franciscan Medical Clinics in Federal Way and Enumclaw, the Harrison Belfair Urgent Care, the Harrison Port Orchard Urgent Care, and the Doctors Clinic Ridgetop East in Silverdale, now have the ability to screen for COVID-19, colloquially known as the novel coronavirus, a March 11 press release reads.

The hospital system said only those who are at high risk — the elderly and those with underlying medical issues — will be screened, as well as people who exhibit signs of infection (shortness of breath or other difficulties with breathing, fever, and coughing), or those who have been exposed to another confirmed COVID-19 patient.

CHI is also offering patients exhibiting mild signs of a coronavirus infection the ability to be traiged via a free video call by visiting franciscanvirtualcare.org and using the code “COVID19”, or download the iOS mobile app in the Apple store or the Android app in the Google Play store.
