Kent residents can donate pajamas at the Farrington Court retirement community to give to foster kids served by Treehouse.

New or gently used pajamas can be dropped off at Farrington Court, 516 Kenosia Ave., until Thursday, Dec. 1.

Through Nov. 21, Farrington Court had collected 50 pairs of pajamas and more than $200 in cash donations. Farrington Court has a large display in its front lobby for easy drop-off.

This year, Farrington Court residents are particularly interested in ensuring that older foster kids aren’t left out by collecting PJs for those 10-years-old and up.

The eighth annual One Eighty/Leisure Care Pajama Drive hopes to collect 3,000 pajamas at its locations for Seattle-based Treehouse, whose free store serves more than 5,000 foster kids. The store features clothing, school supplies, books, toys and more.
