Kent Black Action Commission to host candidates forum Oct. 11

Event at Kent Commons to feature races for Kent City Council, King County Council, Legislature

Candidates for the Kent City Council, King County Council and state Legislature are scheduled to be part of the Kent Black Action Commission 2025 Candidates Forum from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11 at the Kent Commons Green River Room, 525 Fourth Ave. N.

Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. and light refreshments will be available.

Candidates expected to attend include:

Kent City Council Position No. 2 candidates Neet Grewal and Satwinde Kaur; Kent City Council Position No. 6 candidates Sharn Shoker and Andy Song; King County Council District No. 5 candidates Peter Kwon and Steffanie Fain; King County Council District No. 7 candidates Pete von Reichbauer and Maya Vengadasalam; King County executive candidates Girmay Zahilay and Claudia Balducci; and 33rd Legislative District state representative Democratic candidates Edwin Obras and Kevin Schilling.
