Kent Police are asking for help to track down a man who reportedly exposed himself at about 1:29 p.m. Sunday on the West Hill.

Officers were dispatched to the Dollar Tree store, 23406 Pacific Highway S., for a report of a man inside the business who exposed himself and was inappropriately touching his genitals in the presence of a 6-year-old girl, according to a Kent Police media release.

Officers fanned out in the area in search of the man who fled prior to police arrival. He was caught on the store video surveillance and is described as a white mman, age 18 to 25, with dark hair. He is 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall, and described as having a medium build.

“We want to ensure the public is aware of this incident, and that this case is a top priority for our investigators,” said detective Melanie Frazier. “Perpetrators like this do not belong in our community.”

Detectives are trying to identify the man and are asking for the public’s help. Anyone with information regarding this incident or any similar case should call 911 or the Kent Police Department tip line at 253-856-5808.
