Kent Police received several leads over the weekend about a missing 58-year-old woman but still have not found her.

Pamela J. Mitchell was last seen Sunday, March 31, according to a Kent Police media release issued April 4 asking for help to find the woman.

“There was a report that she was possibly seen at a Safeway located in Kent at 210 Washington Avenue South,” said detective Melanie Frazier in a Monday email. “The reporting party said she thought she observed a woman fitting Mitchell’s description waiting for a bus in that area.”

Mitchell signed herself out of Benson Heights Rehabilitation Center, 22410 Benson Road S.E., in the afternoon hours to go to the nearby Safeway. She failed to return and has not been heard from since.

Mitchell has a history of leaving the facility for periods of time. Mitchell has no friends or family in the area, and she does not have any money or a cellphone with her. Mitchell is white, 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds. She has light brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen by staff at the facility wearing a dress and sandals.

The social worker at the facility notes that Mitchell is medication-dependent and suffers from mental and physical disabilities.

“We are very concerned for Mitchell’s health situation,” Frazier said. “Her inability to care for herself and without access to her medications may impair her physical condition quickly.”

Kent Police ask that anyone seeing Mitchell call 911.
