Kent Police seek public’s help to find missing persons

Teen girl, teen boy and adult woman reported missing from Kent in separate incidents

Kent Police are asking for the public’s help to find three people reported missing out of Kent, a 15-year-old boy, 16-year-old girl and 69-year-old woman.

Each of these people have been missing for some time, and other investigative steps have not yet yielded positive results in any of the three cases, according to a Jan. 15 Kent Police Facebook post.

Call 911, the non-emergency dispatch line 253-852-2121, or the Kent Police tip line 253-856-5808 if you have information regarding any of their whereabouts.

Vicky Lynn Chinello, age 69

She was last seen on Nov. 21, 2024, leaving in her vehicle, a silver, 4-door, 2012 Nissan Versa with Washington plate ending in **C5934. She has lived with her brother on Kent’s West Hill for the past few years but has also lived in Auburn and San Diego. Those residences have been checked by law enforcement. The family was not initially worried as she would on occasion go for overnight drives. They have not seen or spoken with her since November, and she has not answered her phone during her absence. She has also been known to visit Tukwila, but there is no specific address. She is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds.

Devyn Van Buren-Wilkerson, age 16

Devyn is 16 and left her West Hill home on Nov. 18, 2024. Her family has not had any contact with her since that time, and she has never been away from home for this long. In the past she has frequented the Driftwood and the Renew apartment complexes, both in the Kent Valley. She was last seen wearing black crocs, white socks, black pants, and a black hoodie with yellow writing. Devyn has not attended school during this time. Devyn is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds.

Muhammad Shaba, age 15

Muhammad left home in June 2024. His parents had phone contact with him in October and located an address where he may be living. Officers checked this address and the occupants denied he was staying there. Shaba has not been seen and has not attended school since he left in June. Shaba is 5 feet 3 inches tall with an average build.
