Kent Police find missing woman | Update

Mentally disabled woman was reported missing Sunday, Jan. 22 near WinCo; found Jan. 23

Kent Police found a 34-year-old Kent woman, who is mentally disabled, safe and unharmed on Monday, Jan. 23.

She was reported missing Sunday, Jan. 22.

Nicole Shives was shopping Sunday at WinCo Foods, 21100 91st Place S., with her caregiver when suddenly she ran out the front door, according to police. She has been homeless in the past.

A police update reported that a witness saw Shives on Sunday walking on 84th Avenue South. Video from nearby businesses showed her walking southbound on 84th Avenue from South 212th Street.
