Kent Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a wanted woman after an investigation revealed that on the early morning hours of July 22 she participated in the previously reported stabbing incident of a 64-year-old Kent man at his home.

Police said an earlier request for assistance from the community regarding this case resulted in tips that led to the July 28 arrest of the first identified suspect, Michael Anthony Santos, 32, of Kent.

According to a police media release, detectives have identified who they believe is another involved suspect in this incident, Abbie M. Rupnick, 26, of Renton. Rupnick is white, with blonde hair, standing 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing about 128 pounds. Her whereabouts are unknown, but it is believed that she may still be in the Renton/Fairwood area.

Rupnick is wanted for first-degree assault and first-degree robbery in connection to this incident. Rupnick should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone who spots Rupnick is urged to not approach her. Instead call 911 or the Kent Police Department tip line at 253 856-5808 immediately.

According to King County jail records, Rupnick was released on July 17 after being booked on May 12. She was in jail on several charges, including possession of stolen property, possession of a stolen vehicle, vehicle prowl, third-degree theft and failure to appear for several other charges.

Police said Santos and Rupnick attacked the Kent man in his home. The man arrived at MultiCare Auburn Medical Center’s emergency room with multiple stab wounds. He was later transferred to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. At last report, he remained in critical condition.
