The Washington State Association for Justice offers a free movie night and discussion at the Kent Senior Activity Center on Monday, June 4.
The program runs 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the center, 600 E. Smith St.
It is open to the public.
The program features the viewing of the award-winning documentary, “Hot Coffee”, which tackles controversial civil justice issues that affect voters. The film won the Best Documentary Grand Jury Prize at the Seattle International Film Festival in 2011, and a 2012 Television Academy Honor in Los Angeles earlier this month for making social change through TV.
Doors open at 5:30. The film begins at 6:30 followed by a panel discussion with the audience at 8. The panel will include attorneys from the Washington State Association for Justice.
