Drivers who use Fourth Avenue in downtown Kent will find the street closed in both directions between West Gowe Street and West Harrision Street from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13, for pavement of a new intersection at West Meeker Street.

Besides commuters, the closure could impact fans arriving for the Seattle Thunderbirds Western Hockey League game at 7:05 p.m. against the Spokane Chiefs at the accesso ShoWare Center, 625 W. James St.

Detours will be in place, according to City Public Works staff. Or drivers might want to take alternate routes.

Crews are doing curb, crosswalk and roadway improvements in conjunction with the city’s Meet Me on Meeker project.
