A 32-year-old Kent woman and her 37-year-old female passenger were injured during an accident at about 10:35 a.m. Friday along Interstate 90 about 15 miles west of Cle Elum.

The Kent woman and a Florida woman were eastbound in a 2007 Honda Accord in the left lane when they slowed for congested traffic, according to a Washington State Patrol media release.

A 2008 Ford Crown Victoria, driven by a 30-year-old Asotin man, then struck the Honda Accord in the rear. Troopers cited the man for investigation of following too close.

Paramedics transported both women to Kittitas Valley Community Hospital in Ellensburg with undisclosed injuries. The driver of the Ford was not injured.
