Kentlake’s Eddings, Fajarillo selected for Rotary honors

Kentlake seniors Tenika Eddings and Steven Fajarillo are the Kent Rotary Students of the Week, for their achievements in career and leadership programs.

Eddings is the daughter of LaShandra Eddings and Diane Eddings of Kent.

Eddings achievements include participation in her school’s ASB, for which she currently is the school president, along with organizing various school events, including hosting forums and student summits.

Eddings also is a member of the National Honor Society and works on school events with her leadership class. She has done considerable community service, including Relay for Life, Kid’s Art Day and Kent Parks and Recreation activities.

In addition, Eddings also is part of Kentlake’s Diversity Council

Eddings plans to attend Washington State University in the fall, where she will major in communications and minor in Spanish. She plans to continue doing community service while attending WSU.

Fajarillo is the son of James and Maria Morgan of Kent.

Fajarillo’s achievements include spending more than 100 hours of community service during the past three years by working at Seahawks games. Also in school he is the ASB secretary of the executive board and is involved in student leadership class, where he helps plan assemblies and several other activities around the school.

Fajarillo also is a member of the school’s wrestling team in the winter and the soccer team in the spring. He plans to attend Eastern or Western Washington University next fall and major in psychology. He hopes to pursue a career in child psychology after college.
