Man arrested in fatal shooting of Des Moines man, woman

March 5 in residence across from Highline College

Des Moines Police arrested a 26-year-old man for investigation of killing a 62-year-old man and 54-year-old woman in a residence all three apparently shared.

Officers responded at about 9:25 p.m. Friday, March 5 to a home in the 24000 block of 25th Avenue South for a reported shooting, according to Des Moines Police. The residence is across from Highline College.

Officers found the older man and woman with gunshot wounds. Both died at the scene. The younger man also was at the location and police took him into custody. All three are related and appeared to have lived at the same residence, according to police. Police did not say how the three were related.
