One person critically injured in two-vehicle crash in Kent

One person suffered critical injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Kent late Thursday afternoon, June 15 along Southeast 240th Street near 120th Avenue SE, according to Puget Sound Fire.

Both vehicles sustained major damage. One vehicle ended up off the street.

The call was dispatched around 3:20 p.m. Two people were transported to a hospital, one with critical injuries and the second with moderate injuries, according to an email from Puget Sound Fire spokesperson Pat Pawlak.

Crews closed SE 240th Street to traffic for Kent Police crash investigators between 116th Avenue SE and 124th Avenue SE, according to a city Public Works Department traffic advisory at 4:45 p.m. The advisory said the road would be closed for several hours and for drivers to use alternate routes.

The crash was near Kent Covenant Church, 12010 SE 240th St.
