Lorri Ericsonhas been named assistant city manager of Des Moines. She is currently the planning and research/administrative services manager for the Puyallup Police Department. She starts her new job with Des Moines on July 21.

A Kent Police sting to catch customers of prostitutes resulted in the arrest of a woman for investigation of prostitution at 10:30 p.m. June 17 in the 25200 block of Pacific Highway South.

Kent mechanic keeps city’s rides running smoothly

It’s easy for the city of Kent to find a good mechanic. Robert Stone works as one of four vehicle-repair staffers at the city maintenance shop on West James Street just east of Russell Road. He helps keep nearly 565 city cars and trucks running smoothly as part of the fleet division of the Public Works Department. Stone helps make sure residents as well as city officials benefit from his work.
