Puget Sound Fire’s Teddy Bear Clinic set for May 18 in Kent

Annual event provides free checkups for teddy bears and children

The annual Puget Sound Fire Teddy Bear Clinic will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 18 at Station 74, 24611 116th Ave. SE in Kent.

The fun-filled, free event encourages families to have their kids bring their favorite teddy bear or stuffed animal for a checkup. Firefighters/emergency medical technicians (EMTs) will provide free checkups for teddy bears and kids in a relaxing environment designed to help ease children’s fears of medical exams.

Highlights:

• First 400 children receive a free teddy bear courtesy of radio station Warm 106.9

• Tour a fire engine and aid car

• Spray water through a fire hose

• Participate in fun activities at the training center
