Riverbend’s special evening to benefit autism support group

Riverbend Golf Course hosts its inaugural Autism Awareness Evening Saturday at the complex's restaurant, 2019 W.Meeker St., Kent.

Riverbend Golf Course hosts its inaugural Autism Awareness Evening Saturday at the complex’s restaurant, 2019 W.Meeker St., Kent.

Proceeds benefit the Northwest Behavioral Associates (NBA), a nonprofit organization providing behavioral therapy and specialized education for children with autism and pervasive developmental disorders.

Doors open at 5 p.m. Dinner and drinks will be available for order.

Several items, including a Derek Jeter-signed poster, will be offered in a live auction that begins at 7:30 p.m. There also will be a silent auction.

Live music begins at 8:30 p.m.

Sales of drinks will benefit the NBA.

Donations will be accepted at the door. T-shirts will be available for $20.
