The Everett Silvertips defeated the Seattle Thunderbirds 4-1 in front of 5,316 at the ShoWare Center on Saturday night.

The Everett Silvertips defeated the Seattle Thunderbirds 4-1 in front of 5,316 at the ShoWare Center on Saturday night.

Everett (32-16-2-2) took a 1-0 lead at 10:16 of the first period on Carson Stadnyk’s wraparound goal.

Stadnyk put back a rebound at 14:43 of the first to give the Silvertips a 2-0 lead.

The Silvertips took a 3-0 lead on a power-play goal from Graham Millar at 7:38 of the second period.

Logan Flodell replaced Landon Bow in Seattle’s after the media timeout of the second period. Bow finished with nine saves on 12 shots. His record falls to 16-20-4-0 with the loss.

The T-Birds led 18-12 in shots after two periods, outshooting the Silvertips 10-5 in the period.

Seattle (28-21-3-0) got on the board at 2:45 of the third period on an unassisted goal from Brandon Schuldhaus who took a shot from the left point with traffic in front of Everett goalie Carter Hart. The shot found the back of the net for Schuldhaus’ second goal of the season.

Millar scored at 15:26 of the third, just after a T-Birds power play ended, to get the Silvertips fourth goal.

Flodell stopped five of six shots in 28 minutes of action.

Hart made 23 saves on 24 shots and his record is now 31-15-1-2.

Two with the Rockets

The T-Birds have a home-and-home series with the Kelowna Rockets on Monday and Tuesday. They are in Kelowna on Monday for a 2 p.m. game. The teams play at the ShoWare at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday.
