The Kent Sister Cities Association has scheduled its annual recognition event for 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Kent City Hall Council Chambers, at Fourth and Gowe in downtown Kent.
The focus of the event will be to acknowledge the nationally recognized sister cities group, as well as the association’s youth ambassador and teacher exchange programs. The schedule includes a welcome from Mayor Suzette Cooke and presentations by youth ambassadors who visited Japan, Norway and China. Also speaking will be teachers in the exchange program who visited Mexico.
Samples of ethnic food will be available as will refreshments.
