Vehicle crashes into Kent restaurant; minor injuries to two patrons

Afternoon of July 8 at Pho Cat Sang restaurant in Panther Lake

Two people suffered minor injuries after a vehicle crashed into the Pho Cat Sang restaurant early Friday afternoon, July 8 in the Panther Lake area of Kent.

Puget Sound Fire responded at about 1 p.m. to a report of a vehicle into a building at 20512 108th Ave. SE., according to an email from Puget Sound Fire spokesperson Pat Pawlak. Two people suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.

A 66-year-old Kent woman told police that her brakes failed but that has not been confirmed, said Kent Police Assistant Chief Jarod Kasner. Officers cited the woman for inattentive driving. She was alone in the vehicle.

“Thankfully, there weren’t more significant injuries,” Kasner said.
