People line up to get to ShoWare Center main floor

A steady line of people flowed into the Vote Center set up by King County Elections on Tuesday on the arena floor at the accesso ShoWare Center in Kent.

They didn’t have to wait outside as the line stretched along the concourse as people waited to enter the main floor so they could register and vote, update their current voter records or get assistance from trained Elections staff to complete their ballot.

Once voters received their ballots, they spread out a tables on the arena floor to fill out the ballots.

The center was open Saturday, Monday and Tuesday. A total of 152 voters showed up on Saturday, 464 on Monday and as of 3 p.m Tuesday another 275 voters participated, according to Elections staff.

Most King County voters returned ballots by mail or to drop boxes. King County Elections set up vote centers in several cities to assist people who didn’t receive ballots.
