The transition team of Washington State Treasurer Mike Pellicciotti recently met to assist as he prepared to assume the role of the state’s chief financial officer.

The transition team includes local and state government, finance, small business, labor, and community leaders and will assist Pellicciotti as he initiates financial policy that supports working families and retirees in Washington today and in the years to come, according to a news release.

“I look forward to working with the current staff of the Treasurer’s Office that has a well-earned reputation for good government and attention to our state’s financial health,” said Pellicciotti, who started his new role Jan. 13. “In particular, I want to thank Treasurer Davidson for his office leadership and his gracious and helpful assistance during this transition.”

Kent City Councilmember Satwinder Kaur is part of the team.

Joining the team from Federal Way is Rebecca Martin, CEO of the Greater Federal Way Chamber of Commerce. Martin says she appreciates Pellicciotti’s confidence in the Chamber’s network and that the assembled team is a “thoughtful cross section of voices from across the state.”
