Winners to be noted at ceremony

With the Olympic games officially concluded, Kent4Health, a community health initiative, is celebrating its top walk, run, roll/ride winners. More than 260 participants went an extra 900 miles over our goal to Beijing, China for a first successful healthy community activity.

With the Olympic games officially concluded, Kent4Health, a community health initiative, is celebrating its top walk, run, roll/ride winners. More than 260 participants went an extra 900 miles over our goal to Beijing, China for a first successful healthy community activity.

The gold medal winners are:

Walk Category: Brenda Hanson

Run category: John Rankin

RIDE/ROLL category: Steve Murray

The rest of the Kent4Health medal winners will join organizers 7 p.m. at the September 16 City Council meeting, to be presented with gold, silver or bronze medals and prizes.

Kent4Health is a citizen-driven program designed to encourage all residents to participate in fun, healthy activities and to share opportunities for personal wellness in the community.
