Man hospitalized after Renton shooting

Police do not yet have suspect information in July 15 incident.

One man was hospitalized after he was shot in the face on July 15.

At approximately 12:10 a.m. on Saturday, Renton police were dispatched to NE Fourth Street and Queen Avenue Northeast to a report of an illegal discharge.

According to the department, the caller — who was the man that was shot — advised police of multiple shots fired and the sound of a vehicle speeding away.

Officers arrived on scene and found the man sustained a gunshot wound to the face. First responders transported the man to the hospital.

In the investigation of the scene, police located at least 11 shell casings. Detectives arrived on the scene to take control of the investigation. As of July 19, police have no suspect details nor motive for the shooting.
