Woman, 44, shot and killed inside her Federal Way apartment

Police do not have any suspect information.

A 44-year-old woman was shot and killed in her Federal Way apartment on Thursday night.

Just before midnight on July 8, officers responded to multiple reports of a shooting at an apartment complex in the 900 block of SW Campus Drive, according to Cmdr. Kurt Schwan of Federal Way police.

When they arrived, officers found the woman inside the doorway of her apartment with apparent gunshot wounds, Schwan said.

Life-saving efforts were administered, but the woman died at the scene.

Officers continued to search the area for witnesses and suspects early Friday morning. Detectives responed to assist with the investigation.

There is no suspect information at this time and the motive for the incident is unknown.
