ANNE MARIE STANDISH

ANNE MARIE STANDISH

Anne Marie Standish was born July 2, 1921 in Balta, North Dakota. She was one of eight children born to Max and Margaret Werran.

After finishing high school, Anne met and married Jack Standish and together they moved to Kent, Washington. During their 26 years in Kent, Anne and Jack had four sons together. After their divorce, Anne met and married John Bliver and the two relocated to Seattle. During their marriage, Anne purchased a beauty salon in the Seattle U District and operated it for many years. When not making Seattle a prettier place they enjoyed traveling to whatever destination caught their fancy. Sailing was also one of Anne’s loves as she and John were longtime members of the Queen City Yacht Club. Anne was a faithful member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, as well as the Red Hat Society.

Anne passed away peacefully on January 12, 2017 leaving behind a hole in the hearts of all that knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents, as well as six siblings (John, Jeane, Max, Bobbie, Stan, and Al) and three sons (Craig, Dwight, and Bob). She is survived by her sister Kathy of Casper, Arizona and her son Jim. Anne was the loving grandmother of ten grandchildren (Debbie, Mike, Michelle, Jack, Anthony, Rob, James, Angela, Jake, and Sam) in addition to that she was very proud of her seventeen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. She will be forever loved and cherished by her friends, family, and all that had the pleasure of Anne gracing their lives.
