Aurellia “Re” Delores Perovich

Our kind and beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away Sunday, February 1st, 2009. Re was born on December 28, 1924 in Seattle to Joe and Alice Rose. Re grew up in Georgetown and graduated from Cleveland High School.Re married Willie Perovich on March 31st, 1945 in Georgetown. With her husband, they operated the Ellis Service Station in Georgetown until 1975 after 25 years of service. Finding an entrepreneurial spirit, Re and Willie owned Perovich and Son Fuel before finally taking retirement in 1984. Willie and Re lived in Kent and had an incredibly loving marriage. They celebrated their 50th anniversary in March 1995 where sister-in-law Judge Fran Rose renewed their vows. Gram loved and enjoyed her grandchildren, attended their activities. She had a great love for her family and often provided through her great joy of cooking at family events. Her favorite pastimes were cooking, spending time with family and friends, playing cards, and doing puzzle books. She enjoyed people and always had a smile for everyone. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by daughter Sandy Spurrier (Bill Spurrier), son Chris Perovich (Patti Perovich), one sister (Margie Albanese), four grandchildren, Daniel Spurrier, Diane Spurrier, Lisa Benson (Tony Benson), Angela Rochester (Max Rochester) and one great-grandchild, Tanner Benson. Re was preceded in death by her husband, Willie. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 6th at 2 pm at Greenwood Memorial Park at 350 Monroe Ave NE in Renton, WA 98056. Immediately following will be a graveside service at Mount Olivet Cemetery at 100 Blaine Ave. NE in Renton, WA 98057. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
