Born in Billings, Montana on November 7, 1929 and passed away on August 13, 2025 at 95 years of age. Madeline was married to Theodore P. Simpson for over 60 years who preceded her in death on May 23, 2010.
Madeline met her husband Ted Simpson in 1948 while they were both employed for the Great Northern Railroad at King Street Station in Seattle, Madeline worked as a switch board operator and Ted as a train dispatcher. They married in 1950.
Madeline lived both a full and healthy life up until the past few years when she fell victim to Alzheimer’s disease. We are comforted knowing that Madeline is with the Lord and once again united with Ted.
Madeline and Theodore were long time members of John Knox Presbyterian Church in Normandy Park where they worshiped for over 50 years.
Madeline is survived by her daughter Janet and her two sons Dave and Gary, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers Grover and Greg and sister Mardell and was predeceased by two brothers Jimmy and Bob and sister Phylis.
There will not be a Memorial Service, however, in Madeline’s Honor donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Support and Care at donorservices.alz.org.
